Rising Inflation

The last time we saw the government raising the prices of rice,we also saw how people were reported breaking into houses just to steal rice and nothing else. Can we really blame them? They are probably taking desperate measures.

Now not only the prices of rice is increasing, everything else is increasing. The main thing that worried the rakyat is probably the rise of the price of petrol. 40% Increase and it might even increase again next year.

Newspaper articles have already reported people stealing petrol from other cars. To make things worst, Not only the price of petrol has increased, rice, materials have all increased also. What have people taken for desperate measures? They start eating dogs,Stray dogs to be precise. Why?What else, its free because all you have to do is just steal one from the roadside. Its cheaper than chicken anytime.

Our country is beginning to sound like what a real third world country should. Although our country has the tallest twin tower in the world, the best under 25 million category airport in the world,Our own national car,Putrajaya and so on, We still have people eating dogs and breaking into other people houses just to steal food

How are we going to compete and put Malaysia on the map if this goes on? What our government should realise is that most of the people already live on a tight budget and with them increasing prices of everything drastically,it will probably cause those people living on a tight budget problems. Come on now,Everything have increased,One thing remains the same,Wages.

I am not saying that the government should not increase the prices of things. Whether we like it or not, Sooner or later everything will have to be more expensive. The only question is when and how much. Our government should increase the prices gradually and not drastically. A 40% increase of petrol one shot is just not going to work out for most people.

How about implementing minimum wage? One thing for sure is that the wages of people have not increased. It shows how efficient our government is on balancing. What are they trying to do? Take everything from us and give as minimum as possible? If one were to work full time as a waiter or a clerk or something like that, they would earn probably 1200 a month if they are lucky.

How on earth can one survive with 1200 a month now?Phone bills,Road tax,Car insurance,Electricity bills,Water bills,Food,PETROL and...Entertainment?If there are leftovers but i am guessing not.

It is just plain ridiculous on how this is going on. It is no wonder Pakatan Rakyat is growing so fast. They promised free water to the people of Selangor and they got it.They are concentrating more on what we need first rather than "Mega projects".I mean, we could use the money that is being invested in Project Iskandar to subsidise things cant we?

Malaysia was once a very rich country. We were brought down by the government investing in mega projects like KLCC,KL tower,KLIA and many more.

Is this economy crisis,Going to happen again for the reason?Have the not learned from their past mistakes?I really dont know.

MIHAS 2008

MIHAS, International Halal products fair. Halal products from all over the world will come and show their products to other interested buyers or agents from other countries. There are around 600 booth that are participating this year and you would be surprised on the number of foreigners that comes to Malaysia exclusively for this fair.

MIHAS have estimated to rake in around 400 million worth of sales but have successfully exceeded that amount. Here are some pictures of me working in the Zaitun booth.

Yes,i know that wearing a jersey and trying to sell just doesn't look right.I wore shirt and slacks the day after though!Sales was pretty good and i found out that my Malay language skills have pretty much gone from bad to worst. Every time i try to communicate with a Malay customer,i realize that my Malay sounds weird compared to them and it doesn't help the fact that i had a tag with my name on it.

Great! Now they will think that i am some sort of Chinese impostor that tries to act like a Malay just to push my sales.

As much as i hate working knowing the lazy sort of person i am,i actually enjoyed my experience in MIHAS 2008. I learned alot and had entirely no regrets at all.

Cheers to life!

Motorbike accidents.Should we show sympathy?

eWe are usually the type of people who frequently reads newspaper with a nice cup of hot teh tarik while discussing current issues with friends if they are with us.Reading about accidents involving motorbikes is no stranger to us anymore. The question is,are we actually supposed to feel sorry for them?

Granted,we might feel that we are fortunate people because we can afford to drive cars while some people cannot afford the luxury that we have hence driving motorbikes because it is cheaper. They then get into accidents and reading about it makes us feel sorry for them.
Honestly,i do feel sorry for them and i hope that it doesnt happen to any of them but only to the ones that are genuine,Not the ones that "asked for it"

What do i mean by the one that are genuine? The ones that got into an accident because a car was driving recklessly and did not see them in front of them and so on.The ones that really deserve help and and treatment because of something that have not done.I honestly feel sad for them and i would just do anything in my power to stop it from happening,
Now,the main topic today is about the motorcyclist that are involve in accidents because of what they have done. Most of my readers are probably people that drives almost everyday in Malaysia so i guess you guys can pretty much relate to what i am about to say.Have you guys seen motorcyclist with their "tidak apa" attitude passing through red lights and still tries to overtake your car although you have been signalling right to that particular lane?
When they do this and sometimes, the car driver panicks and hits them, who is to blame? Are we going to keep having this pitiful feelings for these motorcyclist?I for one, certainly dont think so.
I remembered one time in bangsar while i was driving, the traffic light was green which allows me to turn left,so i turn left happily knowing that no cars will come from my right because the traffic light there was obviously red but i was dead wrong.A motorcyclist came out and almost made me swerve my car to avoid him and bang something else. The horrible part was his wife was sitting at the back of his motorcycle holding him tightly.
Now,why must he pass through when the light was obviously red?He actions was clearly endangering my life as i could have swerve and hit something else.Maybe next time when something like this comes along i should bang straight into him and teach him a good lesson on why he shouldnt break any rules the next time he rides his motorbike,
There are so many motorcyclist who possesses this "tidak apa" attitude and i am sure that you guys know it.We all should realize that their actions do endanger our lives and we should not have any sympathy for them when an accident do occur because of their stupid actions. There is this incident when i have signalled right to turn my car to the next lane so enter a new highway when a motorcyclist from a good distant away who clearly sees my signal tries to speed faster to overtake my car. What on earth is he trying to do?
They act like they are king of the road sometimes.
Please do note that this post is referring to those motorcyclist who conveniently drives around like there are no rules exsisting at all.The next time you guys drive, watch out for this people,Notice how many motorcyclist actually do have this "tidak apa" attitude.
Stop at a red light and see how many motorcyclist will be tempted to go when the other side is empty,or so they thought.
Think about it and the next time when an accident occurs because of their actions,we should think properly to wheater we should have sympathy feelings for them or not.

Turkey,On the road to glory.

"TURK THAT"

Turkey entered the group stage being labeled as the major underdog but once again, they proved everybody wrong. The lost the first game to Portugal and then carried on winning the next two games. You have to see the first two games to see how fantastic Turkey played.

The best thing was Turkey came back from losing to winning in the last two games. Here is a short introduction on Turkey's road to glory.

Turkey vs Portugal
We see Turkey losing two goals to Portugal but not without a strong fight.Turkey was pretty much unlucky that day but they showed glimpses on what they were capable of doing

Turkey vs Switzerland
A tricky game, everyone thought that the host will go through but they were downright wrong. It was raining heavily during the first half that the game was almost postponed.Hakan Yakin then scored a goal for Switzerland which the rainy pitch played a heavy part in.The ball that was passed to him stop right in front of the goal and he just simply tap in the ball[Watch the replay]Nothing to fancy about that.During the second half,we see Turkey attacking all out and gave the host no mercy at all.In the end, goals from Semih Senturk and Arda Turan saw Turkey kicking the host out of Euro 2008.

Turkey vs Czech Republic
2-0 down with only 25 minutes to go,Turkey won the game 3-2 in a thrilling series of finishes.A goal from Arda Turan and two goals from Nihat saw Turkey kicking Czech out of Euro 2008.The wonder goal that was scored by Nihat is probably so far the best goal in the whole of Euro 2008.Nihat scored two goals in just two minutes to send Turkey second in the group stage with the same point as Portugal to go through the next stage.

Now,you ask me,who is Turkey's next victim?
Somehow,i smell some Croatian blood this Friday.

Support Turkey all the way, have faith.Long life Turkish football!

This is why you shouldnt speed.

I have a friend who was speeding and was racing with a waja when he lost control of his car and had a very bad accident which resulted him going out of the road and crashing his car all the way downhill. He had ten stiches at the back of his head and was seriously injured. You can see blood in some of the pictures, take note the airbags and at the seatbelt compartment of the car.

He is driving the latest Subaru Impreza and claimed total loss for insurance in the end. That was how wrecked his car was.Take a look at the picture below and think properly again the next time you guys want to speed.Sometimes,it is not funny at all.

This happening to someone you know can sometimes scare you and makes you think twice the next time you want to speed.Sure,it is one thing if we look at pictures from the newspaper or tv but it is another thing if you see it as it is and it happens to someone you know.I know someone that passed away in an accident and i am hoping that he is the last person that i will hear about.Sometimes,we dont know how dangerous it is to speed until it happens to someone we know or when we experience it.
I sincerely hope that this post will makes us all realize the danger of speeding.

Malaysia...The next Indonesia?

My only concern is that the Barisan Nasional government will transform Malaysia to a country like Indonesia. Our political corruption is at a very high stage that it is powerful enough to destroy this beautiful country of ours.

The rich gets richer, the poor gets poorer. The gap between the rich and poor will be bigger.

We can say thanks to the government for this.

Pak lah have said that we are paying for our fuel cheaper than our neighbouring countries. That is indeed true but one thing that he must have forgotten is that the Malaysian citizens are not stupid. We all know why we are paying cheaper than them,One reason is that they are not the producers of petrol whereas our country is a producer of petrol.

Now,shall we compare with other countries that produces petrol and the price that they charge their people with it?

Gas Price on Oil Producing Country:1. UAE @ RM1.19/liter
Brunei @ RM 1.19/liter2.
Egypt @ RM 1.03/liter3.
Bahrain @ RM 0.87/liter4.
Qatar @ RM 0.68/liter5.
Kuwait @ RM 0.67/liter6.
Saudi Arabia @ RM 0.38.liter7.
Iran @ RM 0.35/liter8.
Nigeria @ RM 0.32/liter9.
Turkmenistan @ RM 0.25/liter10.
Venezuela @ RM 0.16/liter
MALAYSIA @ 2.70/liter

Now we ask ourselves why we Malaysians are paying more than triple than some of these countries are paying.Where is all the profit of Petronas going to?Corruption?Commision?I dont know. What i do know is the price is ridiculous.

Sure,If BN wants to charge us with such a high price i can kind of support them.Only if they dont impose on a 300% tax for all imported cars to Malaysia. When we start paying a reasonable price for cars rather than the outrageous amount that they charge now.

First a 300% tax and then they charge us with the most expensive petrol rate compared to those oild producers country. What is the government up to?

Most importantly, where is all the money going?
Petronas is listed in fortune 500 and they are the richest company in Malaysia. It is only a wonder why the government cannot keep subsidising the petrol.

Barisan Nasional must have thought that the citizens are clueless.Well they have it wrong.Obviously the Political tsunami that happened in March 8 have now hit them yet. They are too busy having conflicts among themselves and doing a good job in making the citizens even more angry whereas we see pakat rakyat calmly carrying out their task and fulfilling their promises.

So i guess the conclusion is.
Vote to save our country
